What is College Goal?

College Goal Wisconsin helps students put their hands on money for college by accessing federal and state financial aid.  The statewide program is designed to assist students and families in the timely completion of the Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA).  College Goal Wisconsin is an all-volunteer program that includes the commitment and support of many agencies, businesses, secondary schools, colleges, and universities.

College Goal Wisconsin began in 2006 as College Goal Sunday and was affiliated with the Wisconsin Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (WASFAA). It was originally funded by the Lumina Foundation.  In 2016, College Goal Wisconsin became its own 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization with a board of directors and bylaws. Over the years, the program has grown from 12 to 45 sites (with the ability to expand to more sites) helping thousands of families complete the FAFSA.

Our heartfelt thanks to libraries, high schools, and campuses that donate space for each event, to our generous benefactors who provide financial support, to school counselors and others who help promote the annual event, and to the hundreds of volunteers that staff each event site.
